This chapter in my life/work started 2 years ago in Greenriver, Utah, and continued to Kentucky to study the coal seams in Eastern Kentucky with Huw Williams and Paul Davies (two great Welsh gentlemen). And now, to my main task – to unravel the story about the Upper Cretaceous and Lower Tertiary coals of the Raton Basin and build a 3-D deterministic model in PETREL to prove the concept. Along the way I have encountered some incredible outcrops that I would like to share with you.
